Omsk is a large city of Russia, it is administrative, economic, cultural and scientific center located on the banks of Irtysh and Om rivers. It was founded in 1716. The city is the second for population in
Siberia and the ninth in Russia. There are about 1.5 million inhabitants.

There are a lot of interesting places to visiting: Uspensky cathedral located on the Cathedral area in the city center, Tarsky gate which have been constructed in 1792 and forwarded to the Stepnoi bastion of the Omsk fortress, history museum, the Literary museum named after F.M. Dostoevsky as one of the oldest buildings of Omsk. Museum of the fine arts of M.A.Vrubel is the largest and ancient art museum of Siberia. There are more than 25 thousand exhibits in collection. Omsk is considered as the most theatrical city of Siberia. Omsk academic drama theatre is the famous in series of Russian theatres. Inhabitants of Omsk love sports very much, this city is one of the most "hockey" cities. One of sights of the city is "Arena Omsk", a modern ice palace of sports.
